The teenager, who is set to join Chelsea in the summer, delivered a dazzling solo effort to help his team secure a 3-1 victory over their fierce rivals. Estevao displayed extraordinary footwork and composure as he carved through Botafogo’s defence with ease. Picking up the ball on the right flank, he effortlessly skipped past two defenders before executing a slick gibe-and-go with teammate Raphael Veiga. After receiving the return pass, Estevao nutmegged another defender and, with ice-cool precision, delicately chipped the ball over the goalkeeper to cap off an incredible piece of individual brilliance.

Chelsea have shown a clear intent to invest in young talent, and Estevao’s acquisition is part of their long-term strategy to build a squad capable of competing at the highest level. The Premier League heavyweights spent £56 million ($73 million) to seal a future transfer and the forward will make a switch to Stamford Bridge in July 2025, shortly after his 18th birthday.

However, before making his highly anticipated move to England, Estevao will have another opportunity to test himself on the global stage as Palmeiras are set to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup, which will be hosted in the United States from June 14 to July 13. One of the potential highlights of the tournament could be a clash with Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, providing the youngster with the chance to face the very player he has been compared to throughout his young career.
